Where can you put stamped concrete?
Some common areas for stamped concrete include walkways, driveways, patios, pool decks and porches.

Can you drive on stamped concrete?
Yes, but there is a waiting period to allow the concrete to cure.  This period may be up to seven days.

When can you start my project?
Our schedule is determined by two factors. First being the order in which a signed contract was received and secondly being the weather. We will give the customer an estimated time for starting the job, but could be subject to change due to unforeseen circumstances. We are fully insured and our coverage includes liability insurance covering property damage and worker and public injuries, vehicle insurance, and workers’ compensation insurance.

How long will the process take?
Project time can vary depending on the project. While living in a construction zone can be strenuous, rushing can provide a less than stellar final product. We strive hard to give you a realistic time frame to complete your project from the beginning. We also stay in contact with our customers throughout the process to give them all updates.

How much do concrete contractors charge?
Pricing can vary. Give us a call to set up an estimate. Just remember, if the price is too good to be true, it probably is too good to be true.

How do you choose a concrete contractor?
Do your research! Can they bring YOUR vision to life? Do they have a body of work that can back that claim? Do they treat you like they value you and your business? There are many things to consider when choosing a reputable concrete contractor. If you choose a contractor based on their availability and/or their price alone, you might end up getting a sub-par product.

Will my concrete crack?
YES! And that is ok. All concrete inevitably cracks. But at Armstrong Concrete we place control joints to help guide the cracks.  Our concrete will be structurally stable. Depending on your finish, we can minimize the appearance of superficial cracks that occur. There are also options for repairing cracks in concrete farther down the line.

What are the different types of decorative concrete?
There are many types of concrete design types, acid etch, exposed aggregate, stamped and colored concrete, etc. Each style has a wide range of options; including color and patterns.

Where can I use decorative concrete?
Anywhere! You can place decorative concrete in your backyard, front yard, or even indoors.  We can create patios, architectural steps, driveways and more. If you can dream it, we can build it.

What kind of maintenance is necessary for my concrete?
Routine maintenance sealing is recommended at least every two years. You can extend the life of your new concrete with periodic cleaning and sealing.

How thick and what is the strength in a standard concrete slab?
Generally, a thickness of 4-5 inches is standard for most residential applications unless unusual circumstances would be encountered. An example of this would be if a homeowner would have an unusually heavy vehicle where the concrete would be under more stress due to the heavy load, at that time the proper thickness would need to be determined.  The
proper mix should have minimum break strength of 3,000 pounds per square inch.

Can we use rock salt on our concrete?
We do not recommend the use of salt or deicers on concrete within the first year. If you must use a deicer, please be sure the label states it is safe to use on concrete.
